Abstract:
As we know well, robots working with us must be human friendly. The meaning of human-friendly
includes behavior patterns of robots. In this sense Robots’ movements must be elegant or gentle,
which never give us unpleasant feeling. In this seminar, I will introduce our new project named
“Shosa-gaku,” ”Shosa” is a beautiful motion unit appeared in cultural play or traditional ceremony.
Our project is going to utilize such traditional motion for robots; motion design. The project is just
in starting process, the seminar will only explains the basic concept and introduction.
